Oh. My. Fuck.

I'm out of control!
Someone stop me!

I'm dying to SPEND.

Here is my summer wish list. The things I need. The things I want. The clothing that I will simply DIE IF I DON'T HAVE.

1) MP3 PLAYER. Before I leave for ASP I need to bedazzle my hand held audio system and I need to do it NOW. I'm sick of my cheap little piece of shit Samsung $20.00 clusterfuck pro, I want me a real MP3 player with video capabilities and more than 4 Gig. Oh, and I can't afford that Ipod shit. After much reaserch I came across this baby.

Sony - Walkman 8GB Video MP3 Player

The costumer reviews give it one of the highest ratings and it comes with all the features I want. A battery life of 50 hours for music and 10 hours for video, this is much better then most the other MP3s I looked at, plus its pretty.
Cost: $99.99
-$50.00 (Best buy gift card)
-$10.00 (On sale if bought online)
+ $6.99 (shipping fee)
Total: $46.98

Personally I think that's an incredible deal.

2) OVERSIZED HEADPHONES. For this I am overdue. For a long time I've desired super sized head phones with ultra high quality sound to blast my techno, and It's time I jump on it. I remember loving Sara Schade's head phones so I asked Amy where she got them and I was pointed in the direction of Urban Outfitters, there I found these.

Why are headphones pluralized when there is only one?

lyli from France game them an excellent review, and they look pretty.

Cost: $50.00
Total: $96.95

That completes my audio desires, now all that's left is FASHION!

3) Skinny Jeans. Its time. Normally I hate skinny jeans on men, but after seeing these I've changed my mind.

It actually makes me a little sick how beauatiful they are. GORGEOUS. And I think I'm ready for the transition to more trendy stuff. Which reminds me. I LOVE URBAN OUTFITTERS. I've spent a good 2 hours now looking at all they have to offer me. My new favorite store? YES. So, they have two stores in Michigan, one in Ann Arbor and one in Troy. Should we take a road trip? YES. The Troy store is closer but I thought it would be more fun if we took a day trip to Ann Arbor.

Cost: $54.00
Total: $150.95

4) PLAID. This isn't really a surprise for anyone. No need to waste anyone's time with this obsession.

Cost: $48.00
Total: $198.95

5) JACKET. I'm sick of my stupid black pea coat thing, its time for a new one.

Cost: $128.00
Total: $326.95

6)CARDIGAN. I talked about my need for a Cardigan a few posts ago, so no need to waste your time now.

Cost: 49.99
Total: $376.94

Not too bad eh? Actually, I think we can eliminate the Military Jacket from the list since I won't need to worry about that until next fall, so taking that off the list brings my Summer Wish List tooooooo... $248.94

Too much, right?

Remember the good old days when I cared little for fashion and was perfectly content with my out dated khakis? I should probably return to my old ways.

Ah well. Guess what time it is! no, later then that.

4:28 AM

Part of me is considering just staying up all night, I mean why not I'm practically there.

Next post will be dedicated to SHOES.

Good morning my puppies.

State of Emergency

"Italian Vogue is a showcase for the world's biggest photographers. It's a platform where they are allowed to do their most groundbreaking work. They are always pushing the envelope. The images go beyond straight fashion to be about art and ideas."
- Jaime Perlman

I just wanted to share this with you. This was the September 2006 center spread for Vogue Italia and a commentary on the post 9/11 world. I thought it was pretty cool. Rachel, Alexis and I have on multiple occasions discussed going threesies on an Italian Vogue. I think we should do it soon.

Thai and Goodbye

I'm so over it, I've been there and back
Changed all my numbers and just in case you're wondering
I got that new
I'm a single girl swag
Got me with my girls and we're singin' it...... Sing!
na na na na, na na na na
hey hey hey
goodbye
na na na na hey, na na na na hey,
hey hey hey
goodbye

I wanted to put the music video up because I was thrilled today to find that it was released, but unfortunately the copyright Nazis have blocked all embedding of it.

Do not fret, for I have pictures of the music video... just as good right?

I find I hate her because she's so gorgeous. oh well.

In other pop news, Lady Gaga can sing!

I think she sounds a tad like Amy Winehouse at the start.

Guess what I'm eating.

Nope.

Almost.

Go a little south of there.

God you're so stupid! It's in the title.

I'm eating Thai, and it sucks. Today at the super market I was looking for something to have for lunch that would be good. I headed over to the microwavable Mexican section but then decided to do something crazy and different. I headed over to the microwavable international section and picked up some Thai.

It tastes like cardboard.

I'm bored! I want to get out of the house! I want to have fun! Perhaps I shall hop on facebook and Aim and my cell and see if I can get someone to do something with me. Perhaps get some real Thai food.

Want something to laugh at? The spell checker wanted me to change Amy Winehouse's name to Amy Whorehouse.

Until next time, my puppies.

Fake Tans and Cardigans

What's up? How's it been? We should get coffee sometime.

I finally purchased some straight leg jeans.

All Men's clothing was half off at Old Navy so I picked up these Jeans and a few shirts: one polo, one plaid, and one under shirt.

Today at work Kelsey came in looking tan and beautiful. I was shocked because she has the same skin coloring as I, and after a bit of my incessant interrogating she cracked like an egg on a bowl. As it turns out she got a spray tan. I've always heard people say when you get a spray tan you turn out orange, but her tan looked 100% legit, and it only cost 30$. Anyway, I think next week I'm going to go with her and try it out.

Now on to my wish list.

Old Navy today got me in the shopping mood so I've been takin' a gander online. The latest trend I want to jump on is the Cardigan fad.

I mean, if its good enough for Justin Timberlake and that whatever from The Office, then its sure as hell good enough for me. Here's the exact one I want.

Heritage 1981, $24.90, and Argyle. I'm not a huge fan of Argyle but whatever.

Next, I travelled a lobster's claw over to Nylonmag.com, if that site isn't in your regular rotation please insert now. It is Elvis, Madonna, and the holy bible. While looking in the guys section, I read a really interesting article about a company that has Indie rock bands design T-shirts and then sells them, and %100 of the profit goes to a charity of the band's choice. May I introduce yellowbirdproject.com?

After a hop and a skip over to their site, I found a shirt I liked.

Pretty, ain't it? $25. It was designed by The National and money goes to the benefit of Safe Space.

Safe Space is a New York based charity, which works with disadvantaged families and children to prevent foster care placement, and allow children the opportunity to grow up and live a safe and healthy life. They do this by working closely with over 20,000 families across NYC, and offering programs and services which serve to strengthen them, and promote self-sufficiency.

That's all for now.

Just Kidding.

My sleep schedule is all out of fuck due to the Senior All Night Partay. It was epic in all but 2 senses of the word and I'll tell all y'all about it next post.

Goodnight my puppies.

Can we just take a second

to aknowledge how fucking beautiful Lindsey Lohan is?

There is not one outfit here that I don't find absolutaly rediculously rediculous, and yet they all look rediculously good on her.

So it's 1:54 in the morning, and I decided to punch out another blog, but its going to be extremely quick.

So I promised to stay on for at least 3 weeks. It took me over a week to start blogging again. I promise to blog more often. must chronical summer.

San Francisco

Thanks to Alexis, I'm back! This time I'm determined to last on blogger for at least three weeks. While I have your attention I want to point out something groundbreaking for me, notice how my old posts are still here? I didn't delete this blog! AMAZING! normally I blog for about a month, then delete it and make a new one six months later. Now I'm determined to not only last on blogger for the next three weeks, but to keep this blog FOREVER!

So to celebrate my return, I've decided to make this the sexiest post ever. I'll talk about fashion, movies, music, and there might even be some NUDITY!

Lets begin with a Music Video. Watch it.

One thing I love about techno music is that the genre isn't quite mainstream yet so their music videos can be as overly sexual as they want. Its not like MTV will be airing it anytime soon so why not have a lot of boobs and butts?

Moving on, lets discuss fashion! Alexis's first post inspired me to discuss my favorite trends and looks currently in vogue, so I will share them with you.

#1. I'm going to start with the most controversial looks and make my way to less trendy stuff, so lets begin with Shoulder Pads. I love them, and I know you probably hate them. What I love about them is not only that they symbolize strength and individuality, but how bold they are. It takes a brave person to wear them. And to those of you who are in denial about their return to prominence I offer you three pieces of evidence. Firstly, celebrities have started wearing them, from Rihanna to Victoria Beckham, and both celebrities are famous for their unique style. Secondly, They appeared on several runways last fall. And thirdly, I counted 3 girls at school last weak wearing them.

#2. 90's style belly shirts. This I'm not overly thrilled about, but if you have the right body for it, why not show off your abs? While many people groan about their return, I was never even aware they fell out of style. However, this trend has a time and place, I hope to god girls don't start trying to wear them to school (I can remember my oldest sister trying to wear them to school, back the last time they were popular, around 1999). Crop Tops should only be worn in summer and at casual events.

#3. House of Holland. One of my favorite designers. A lot of plaid, a lot of 80's. His stuff is very avant garde and that's why I like him.

#4. High waisted skirts. This isn't really a new trend, its at least a year old, but I really like them.

Now, lets discuss Star Trek! I love this film, unfortunately I overdosed on it. I saw the film the day it came out, then the next day, and then yesterday I saw it in IMAX, and now I'm kind of DONE with it. That doesn't mean I don't love it and its not my favorite movie yet this year, I've just had too much too quickly. The day it comes out on DVD I'm throwing a Vulcan themed party, so everyone make sure to come to that. It'll probably be some time this Fall.

Okay, this post is long enough. BYE!

Caffeine

This is one of my favorite scenes from Friends.

Did you know it’s the most widely used mood altering drug? I’m conducting an experiment this week to make it until Friday without Coffee or Pop, thus greatly reducing my caffeine intake. My first day was yesterday, and I didn’t really notice much until it was time for bed. I went to bed around 10-10:30, and ended up just laying there until 1 AM, which is unusual. Once I’m in bed I can usually fall right asleep. This morning I woke up with a pounding head ache, my jaw hurt, and for some reason my knees hurt. After my shower the headache went away, and I didn’t think much of it until 2nd hour. While I was daydreaming and having trouble caring about “completing the square”, my headache came back with vengeance. Fortunately Chelsea had some pain killers, the name seemed foreign to me and that’s usually a good sign it’ll be powerful, so I went to the bathroom and excitedly took one. It was AWESOME, my headache went right away and I felt fine for a long time. I’m starting now to get a slight headache but it isn’t nearly as powerful and according to wikipedia the symptoms peak at 48 hours, which I’m nearly at.

Here’s what Wikipedia said about caffeine withdrawal:

“Withdrawal symptoms—possibly including headache, irritability, an inability to concentrate, drowsiness, insomnia and pain in the stomach, upper body, and joints —may appear within 12 to 24 hours after discontinuation of caffeine intake, peak at roughly 48 hours, and usually last from one to five days, representing the time required for the number of adenosine receptors in the brain to revert to "normal" levels, uninfluenced by caffeine consumption.”

I have no idea what adenosine receptors are but they sound pretty cool. So wish me luck, I think the worst part is behind me, I just need to make it until Friday.
